Upcoming Events

22nd April 2010 – Amphibian Identification Course at Chadkirk Local Nature Reserve ( Vale Road, SK6 3LD ). Informal training session, with classroom session looking at amphibian id and methods, then a survey of the pond on site. We will be putting bottle traps out so will also be emptying them early the next morning if people are able to attend. 7pm – 9.30pm. Please wear appropriate clothes for the weather and wellies (waders if you have them!)

Please park at the car park at the Otterspool Road end of Vale Road and walk up to the chapel as there is no parking at the top. Contrary to the original email we will not be bottle trapping the site on this occasion.

24th April 2010 – Attendance at Woodbank Park Animal Fair 1pm-4pm. Volunteers to help man a stall at this event will be most appreciated. We will run some pond dipping events and some amphibian related activities. I will bring the kit, will just need a few volunteers to help out – please let me know if you can attend. We need to be there by 12noon to set up etc. Woodbank Park , Off Turncroft Lane, SK1 4JR .

19th May 2010 – Presentation on Amphibians and Reptiles and brief committee meeting. Committee meeting 7pm, Presentation by local ecologist 7.45pm. Reddish Vale Visitor Centre SK5 7HE.
